In acceptance…

In acceptance lieth peace, O my heart be still;
Let thy restless worries cease and accept His will.
Though this test be not thy choice, it is His – therefore rejoice.

In His plan there cannot be aught to make thee sad:
If this is His choice for thee, take it and be glad.
Make from it some lovely thing to the glory of thy King.

Cease from sighs and murmuring, sing His loving grace,
This thing means thy furthering to a wealthy place.
From thy fears He’ll give release, in acceptance lieth peace.

Blessings….

God has blessed me in so many ways!  Sunday night, while at local tent revival meetings, I ran into one of my team leaders (Beautiful Becky) from Journey to the Heart last June.  We hadn’t seen each other in over a year and it was SO good to see her again!   She has been a shoulder to cry on, an encourager, a great listener, and a huge blessing to me since the first day I met her 🙂

Then yesterday morning, the house was in desperate need of some cleaning, and my friend Tiana, whom had spent the night at our place, was a great help!  She swept the whole downstairs…which, to be perfectly honest, is my least favorite job!  That was such a huge blessing to me!  Thank You Tiana!!

Thank you God for the wonderful friends you have given me!!!!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

I was informed this evening that I have ads popping up on my blog that are not good.  I was completely unaware of this, but have no idea how to get rid of them…I can’t even see them when I view my blog.  If you see any ads (especially bad ones) would you please let me know and I will try and figure out how to get them off.

Thank you.

Waiting Room…

Wow…God is so amazing!  While listening to music online last night, this one by Jonny Diaz came on and it is so perfect for me right now….

Here in this waiting room
Yearning for You to say go
And though I’m convinced that a yes would be best
This time You’re telling me no

It’s not that I don’t have an answer
It’s just not the one that I’d like
But through this time Lord I must keep in mind
You’re always wiser than I

‘Cause You have a much better purpose
And You have a far greater plan
And You have a bigger perspective
‘Cause You hold this world in Your hands

The things that I seek are from You
Like the strong healing touch of Your hand
But when You say no, help me trust even though
There’s a reason I can’t understand

‘Cause You have a much better purpose
And You have a far greater plan
And You have a bigger perspective
‘Cause You hold this world in Your hands

When that miracle comes ’cause Your answer is yes
I will praise You for all of my days
But when Your wisdom declares that a no is what’s best
I will praise You just the same

You have a much better purpose
And You have a far greater plan
And You have a bigger perspective

‘Cause You hold this world in your hands

You hold this world in your hands

I Am New

Yet another song that I absolutely LOVE!!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”  2nd Corinthians 5:17

I Am Newby Jason Gray

Now I won’t deny
The worst you could say about me
But I’m not defined
By mistakes that I’ve made
Because God says of me

I am not who I was
I am being remade
I am new
I am chosen and holy
And I’m dearly loved
I am new

Who I thought I was
And who I thought I had to be
I had to give them both up
Cause neither were willing
To ever believe

I am not who I was
I am being remade
I am new
I am chosen and holy
And I’m dearly loved
I am new

Too long I have lived
In the shadows of shame
Believing that there
Was no way I could change
But the one who is making everything new
Doesn’t see me the way that I do
He doesn’t see me the way that I do

I am not who I was
I am being remade
I am new
I am chosen and holy
And I’m dearly loved
I am new

I am not who I was
I am being remade I am new
Dead to the old man, I’m coming alive
I am new

Forgiven beloved
Hidden in Christ
Made in the image of the Giver of Life
Righteous and holy
Reborn and remade Accepted and worthy, this is our new name

This is who we are now

Under Pressure…

Toothpaste……whoever would have thought I would do a blog post on toothpaste?!  But, I’m doing it 🙂

Now I don’t know about you, but when I squeeze a tube of toothpaste, I expect toothpaste to come out…and it has never failed me…yet.  But have you ever thought of how you could actually use this for an analogy of your life?

Think about it…when you look at a tube of toothpaste, it usually looks pretty good…but it isn’t until you squeeze the tube (apply pressure) that you see what’s really inside.

It’s the same way with us…we may look (and act) good on the outside, but what comes out when pressure’s applied…when God sends a trial your way or when others don’t treat you right?  Is your response Christ-like and loving, or is it something completely different than what ‘the package’ shows?

This Weekend Follow-Up

I am sure some of you are quite excited to hear about how my day went with the witnessing opportunity I had mentioned earlier this week…well, plans changed, and, due to sickness, we had to cancel. Throughout the week, I was nervous about going and what I would say, etc., but last night I was getting really excited!

I knew that we were going to go to the local Farmer’s Market and witness different ways there, but I found out last night that we were also going to be witnessing to kids in the afternoon. Now that’s more my level…I LOVE working with kids! Adults…they are bit more intimidating 🙂   (I don’t know why, maybe it’s a height issue…)

I was pretty bummed when dad told me this morning that it had been cancelled…I thought, “But God, you prepared me for this. You gave me verses to encourage me…now what?” He replied “I didn’t prepare you just for this, Sara…just because this particular event was cancelled, doesn’t mean you can’t share in other ways. I just want you prepared.”

Hmm…yeah, wow. Okay…message received, loud and clear! Now just to see what exactly God has in store 🙂
